  1. Growing up, who/what inspired your career?
I’ve always had an interest in fashion thanks to my mum. She loved to dress me in cute outfits as a kid, so I would always experiment with different clothes. It was always a hobby even up until university. Where I was studying investigative journalism and music. But in my spare time, I would volunteer at fashion shows, which is where I met Kimberly Gardner (an incredible Queensland stylist) and she became my mentor. She taught me basically everything I know about fashion, even the business side. And I am so thankful for that.

  2. What was your first big break?
My first big break, I would say actually trusting myself to take the leap to quit my day job. It’s scary to abandon financial stability and bet on yourself. I did that about 10 years ago and never looked back. It can be quite lonely working for yourself but it builds this courage that you can’t buy or be taught.

  3. Tell us your top three pieces of advice for a tween/teen wanting to grow their online presence?
Just do it. Don’t talk about it, start it as a hobby and let it grow. Whatever your interested in just start showcasing it. Take a picture of it daily, make a 5-second video and post it! I know it sounds cliche but that’s really all there is to it!

  4. What do you love most about fashion?
That anyone can be involved and it’s always changing. And it opens up so many avenues to other lifestyle activities whether it be travel or food. You never know where you can go with it. Plus the freedom of expression is absolutely fantastic!

  5. Your style is very bright, bold and fabulous, what do you look for in an outfit?
Thank you! I love colour! I look for how it will move on my body and whether it makes me feel good. I’m very much about feeling comfortable in what I wear. And colour just seems to fit the brief!

  6. How did your first brand collaboration come about?
Actually, it was a lovely jewellery designer from America. She just loved my photos and written blog (yes back in the Blogspot days). And she sent me some custom pieces. It was really beautiful!

  7. You have a degree in journalism, how has that helped your career?
I actually don’t have a degree in journalism, I abandoned it for real experience working in fashion. And it paid off for me. It was risky but in the end worth it!

  8. You now have over 100,000 followers on TikTok – what do you love about the platform?
TikTok is fun, one of my favourite platforms because basically any hobby, any interest can gain a community. And I find that so wonderful. It connects to many people in the most marvellous ways. And you don’t have to be polished, you just have to be you.

  9. You make content creation look easy, what is the process of making a TikTok video?
I do write down my ideas but I’m very much of a spontaneous person to be honest. I also love to see what other people are talking about and make my own script based off my own reaction to that. Then I edit on my phone and post away!

  10. Which brands would you most love to collaborate with?
I love the brands I’m already with, which is The Body Shop and Netflix have been so much fun to work with. I really believe in long term partnerships and I value that they invest their time with me. I would adore to work with international fashion houses like Valentino and Dior, that would be amazing!
